During this semester I was able to see math in a way I have never seen before. I was able to learn that math is not only something to be memorized, but it is a creative subject where if you wonder and collaborate, you can learn just about anything. During our project we were anonymously given a classmates' data to analyze and begin to gain empathy for them. We explored univariate and bivariate statistics and even made our own graphs based on our class data. We were then able to use those graphs to create an 'empathy lense' displaying a bit of another person's life mathematically. I gained more knowledge about my classmates in a fun, math way I never thought was possible. Always remember, you cant spell empathy without math!
